Hi folks! My name is Brian and I’ve worked with all sorts of tools during most of my working life. I’ve worked as an auto mechanic, in a rail yard building railroad cars, and in apartment maintenance though I guess they’re called technicians these days. In the course of these jobs, I’ve done electrical work, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, air conditioning and probably a few others I can’t think of right now. Anyway during the course of these jobs, as you might imagine I’ve used a lot of tools, both hand and power ones and I’ve gotten to know which tools are best used for the job or project at hand. Because of this I would like to impart some of my knowledge to you to help you decide which tools would be best for your use around your home.
I got the idea of helping people with tool purchases because I have seen people in stores looking at tools and are not really sure of what tools to buy. I have offered to help them by answering any questions they may have even though I’m not an employee of that store. I have seen people that wanted to tackle home projects but don’t have the proper tools to do the project. At the other extreme there are those that will go out and buy bundles of tools both hand tools and power tools, many of which they won’t use.
Hopefully, I will be of some help to you so you will be able to pick the right tool or tools for your home projects.
Brian
